A Playful Beach Family Session near Kailua, Oahu
Closer than ever. Shaggy Covid hair. Play in the water. Remember this time that is 2020 lockdown and all. The words that stood out to me when this mom inquired with me for family photos this summer. I was so beyond excited for this session. She brought me to her new favorite place to explore with the her kids which has now turned into a new favorite secret beach for capturing families and exploring with my kids. We met up on an overcast summer morning on the windward side of Oahu. We laughed. We played. The boys splashed around and swam. Dad and I even got to nerd out and chat all things film photography, a hobbyist photographer himself. Whipping his head around the second he heard my camera rewinding that first roll of film. My hope is that they look back on these photos with joy remembering the time we spent together and more in love with their family. Perfectly Imperfect.
